Summary: This place is a dream. You might think the pictures make it look too good to be true, but honestly the pictures don't even do it justice. The view is beyond breathtaking, the house is immaculate, the owner provided helpful instructions and was super responsive to communications. Truly the stay of a lifetime. When we arrived the whole mountain was in a cloud. (it's in a cloud forest after all). You couldn't even see a foot or two past the deck. At first I was bummed, thinking we wouldn't get the view we had hoped for. And then, soon after, and so much faster than I have ever experienced clouds moving, the fog just melted away down the mountain, revealing the mountain and far expanse little by little like they were lifting a curtain for us. It was such a cool experience, and honestly made the view even more dramatic afterwards! Also, we went in August, which is not a time of year when the monkey's are out much. Our two kids were pretty sad they didn't get to see any during the whole first part of our trip. So when they awoke to find 5-7 monkeys playing around on the porch and trees and even bouncing on the net they were beyond delighted. The owner has a pully with bananas on a rope about 10 feet out from the porch and it draws them in. Nothing like relaxing in a hot tub watching monkeys eat bananas all around you. It was wonderful and I was so grateful they had set that up!
